OLD TESTAMENT Readings (Deuteronomy 6/from ESV Study Bible)

By faith, these lessons will be applied in my life more and more…

Deut. 6:4-6 (NLT)
“Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. [5] And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. [6] And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands I am giving you today.”
Deut. 6:16-17 (NLT)
“Do not test the Lord your God as you did when you complained at Massah. [17] You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God-all the stipulations and laws he has given you.”
Deut. 6:24-25 (NLT)
“And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these laws and to fear him for our own prosperity and well-being, as is now the case. [25] For we are righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.”

Listen to the HOLY SPIRIT (Isaiah 49/from Life Transformation Study Bible, Warren Wiersbe)

The Lord God is likened to a compassionate mother (verses14-23)
The Lord God is likened to a courageous warrior (verses24-26)

Isaiah 49:15 (NLT)
“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for a child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!”
Isaiah 49:24-26 (NLT)
“Who can snatch the plunder of war from the hands of a warrior? Who can demand that a tyrant let his captives go? [25] But the Lord says, “The captives of warriors will be released, and the plunder of tyrants will be retrieved. For I will fight those who fight you, and I will save your children. [26] I will feed your enemies with their own flesh. They will be drunk with rivers of their own blood. All the world will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and Redeemer, the Mighty One of Israel.”

NEW TESTAMENT Readings (Colossians 1/from Transline Bible)

(verses 9-11) “For this reason we also, since the day we heard, do not cease praying for you, and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding – so that you may walk worthily of the Lord, toward total pleasing [of Him]. Bearing-fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God. Being empowered with all power according-to the might of His glory, toward total endurance and patience.”

EVision: Become and Empowered
-Walk only in God’s ways applying His truth, principles, values, and consistent only with His character.
-Glorify God and exalt Him by worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth; and by having a testimony of integrity, righteousness, and full surrender to God.
-Transformed life walking in God’s will
-Live for God
-Spirit-controlled life
-Worship-driven lifestyle
-Holy life
-Fear God in a reverential manner, for Who He is and His Sovereign judgments that are surely to come
-Love the Lord my God with all my heart, all my mind, all my soul, and all my strength (with all I am)
-Commit wholeheartedly to God’s commands, truths, principles, and ways
-Know God intimately for Who He Is: Lord, Savior, Redeemer, Mighty One, Holy, Sovereign, Pure Love, Glorious, Divine Excellencies
-Filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding
-Walk worthily of the Lord toward total pleasing of Him
-Bearing fruit in every good work
-Being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory

The goodness and graciousness of God is evident. I will see to it that His word is applied in my life.
